Tonight’s one to watch is the brother of the Wildcats very own Renny Marr, Jordan has been the goalie for the Peterborough Phantoms for the last 2 years and he has performed very well in that time.

Growing up in Scotland Marr started off his junior days playing in the Fife system but as a 17-year-old he made the move across the pond to Canada and played for two years with the Okanagan Academy in British Columbia. In these two seasons he posted a save % of well over 90% and following his time here he chose to take up a university place and play in the NCAA system.

Marr was at Finlandia University, who play in NCAA III, and despite not getting a massive amount of game time the experience of training and living in the US college hockey system will have been invaluable to his development. This experience has been instrumental in his performances once he returned to the UK, he really hit the ground running with Milton Keynes in the EPL.

In his first season back in the UK Marr signed with Milton Keynes and was a key player right away, he played 21 games and posted a 91.3% save percentage. Following this debut year, he moved up north to the Hull Pirates and once more he produced the goods, these performances were enough to earn him a shot in the Elite League when he joined Fife Flyers for the 2017-18 season. In the 19 games that Marr played for Fife that year in the Elite League he managed a save percentage of 89.4% and a GAA of 3.55, which given Fife aren’t one of the big Elite League teams and British goalies are a rarity is mightily respectable form.

After his one season stint in the Elite League Marr was offered the chance to sign with Peterborough in the NIHL and it was a chance he took readily, he has quickly established himself at the Phantoms and as one of the best goalies in the NIHL.
