The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats are delighted to confirm, not one, not two but THREE more members of the 23/24 Planet Ice NIHL National Division Season.
Jamie Smith, Dylan Lipsey & Alfie Druett will all be a part of the roster when we return to the ice in September.
All 3 made their senior debuts last season and made a crucial impact on the lineup when they got their chances.
Making the transition to senior hockey is a big jump for anyone and the 3 youngsters did a superb job every night, sometimes in pressure situations and against some of the best players in the league.
Head Coach Aaron Nell had the following to say after securing the services of the Wildcats of tomorrow:
It’s great to have Jamie, Dylan & Alfie back with us again for the new season. They all played a big part in our team last year when called upon and I’m sure they’ll have big parts to play over the course of the season.
Jamie in particular will have a big role to play for us this year and he probably surprised us the most last season with how quickly he grew into senior hockey.
Dylan & Alfie will both bring us extra depth up front and I’m sure the three of them will continue to make improvements in the new year. We have a good group of players coming through from our academy and we’re delighted to have three Swindon youngsters in our lineup to go alongside the likes of Josh Shaw, who’s still only 17 years old.
